Real Madrid and Benfica have come to an agreement that will see Argentinian Angel Di Maria suit up for the Spanish giants next season. Spanish newspaper, Marca, is reporting that the deal is worth 25 million euros (about $30.8 million) and that Di Maria will sign with Los Blancos for the next six seasons. Real Madrid will be the 22-year-old winger’s third professional club. He began his professional career in 2005 with the Argentinian club, Rosario Central. He transferred to the Portuguese club, Benfica, in 2007.

Di Maria is currently in South Africa with the Argentinian national team.who have a quarterfinal match up against Germany on Saturday.
Di Maria has already garnered many accolades in his short career both on the club and international levels. He was named the Best Player of the Portuguese Liga, won two Liga titles, and one Portuguese Cup with Benfica. He has also been a part of the U-20 Argentinian team that won the 2007 U-20 FIFA World Cup, won a Gold Medal in Beijing, and has seen action in every one of Argentina's four games thus far in South Africa - starting three of them. Argentinian legend and current national team head coach, Diego Maradona, has already dubbed Di Maria as the country's next superstar.
Di Maria’s Benfica #20 is already worn by countryman Gonzalo Higuain and his national team #7 is worn by Real Madrid legend Raul.
