Rob Rasmussen of UCLA got out of a second inning jam with no damage. Carolina loaded the bases with two walks and a single, but was unable to push the run home. His stuff is clearly better than Michael Roth’s at this point, but Rasmussen’s command has been a bit wobbly. Although the game is scoreless thus far, neither pitcher seems really in control of the game just yet.
