Earlier today, ESPN’s Keith Law published his updated Top 25 prospects and I was happy to see a guy I own in the UBA league as his #1 prospect.
Down On The Farm: Keith Law’s Updated Top 25 Prospects
Here are his top 5:
1. Domonic Brown, PHI
2. Desmond Jennings, TB
3. Mike Trout, LAA
4. Dustin Ackley, SEA
5. Martin Perez, TEX
Here is what he said about Brown:
1. Domonic Brown, OF, Philadelphia. Is there anything he can't do? He's destroying everything in his path in Double-A and is probably just some defensive refinements away from being big league ready. I don't think he's next off the list to the big leagues, but with Raul Ibanez providing below-average offense and defense in left, I'd have to think the Phils are looking at Brown for a second-half call-up. Previous ranking: No. 7
Back on June 20th, I wrote an article here on Fake Teams asking who will be the #1 prospect going into the 2011 season, and FT readers voted Desmond Jennings as the #1 prospect, followed by Domonic Brown.
Alot can happen between now and the beginning of the 2011 season, so these rankings could change. Law’s next Top 25 prospects lists will include guys from the 2010 MLB draft, including Bryce Harper and Christian Colon.
