Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s public relations representative Mike Davis brought his unique brand of humor and insight to the AmpUpThe88.com video chat on Wednesday night, dishing details about what it's really like to work alongside the sport's most popular driver.
Davis answered fan questions ranging from his most stressful moments with Earnhardt Jr. to the most unusual thing he's seen during his time working with the driver.
And in what has been a hot topic for fans lately, Davis gave his thoughts on what the radio chatter between Earnhardt Jr. and crew chief Lance McGrew really means for their relationship.
"When people ask a question about the radio chatter, the first thing that always comes to my mind is, 'Dude, do you not have any brothers and sisters?'" Davis said. "Because it doesn't really seem abnormal to me. It's kind of a brotherly love type of thing.
"I like it when Dale Jr. and Lance get to communicating so much where they go back and forth a little bit, because the alternative is neither one of them are talking. And that's far worse than them getting their stuff out on the table right there. ... I think the chemistry is fine."
Davis was in the spotlight as part of the weekly Amp video chat, which features a special guest or a member of the 88 team each week. The chats can be found on AmpUpThe88.com, where fans can also enter daily sweeps for autographed Dale Earnhardt Jr. items and view an "Off The Track" video blog.
