This Might Be the Final Image of Bryce Harper’s Brief College Career
↵
↵OK, so who gave the quicker hook? Home plate umpire Don Gilmore, who tossed Bryce Harper from the Junior College World Series on Wednesday, or Joe West on Mark Buehrle?↵↵I won’t argue that Harper acted appropriately -- and his behavior is hardly without reproach if you buy this story -- but only the most old-school blowhards will agree that it was worth tossing him from the game for drawing a line in the dirt. What’s worse is that Harper faces a two-game suspension, so there’s a very real chance it will be Harper’s last appearance before heading to the pros. Previously, Harper was suspended one game for “taking a bow” after a play in the outfield.↵
↵↵I suppose none of it will matter on Monday when the Nationals presumably taking him No. 1 in the MLB draft.↵
