College World Series: South Carolina Defeats UCLA 2-1 In 11 Innings

An RBI single by Whit Merrifield scored Scott Wingo in the bottom of the 11th inning, giving the South Carolina Gamecocks their first College World Series Championship, defeating the UCLA Bruins 2-1. The game was punctuated by strong performances from both bullpens, as well as frequent wasted scoring opportunities for both teams.
