Pat Burrell Prepares To Join Giants

After getting dropped by the Tampa Bay Rays for underperformance, OF/DH Pat Burrell signed on with the Giants on a minor league contract. And after going 5-16 with a homer in AAA, the Giants are now bringing him back to the bigs:

John Bowker will head back to AAA to make room for Burrell on the 25-man. Burrell is expected to serve as a righty bat off the bench, and occasional fill-in.
