Ricky Rubio Won’t Play In NBA Until 2011/12
According to the Associated Press, Rubio will not play in the NBA until the 2011/12 season at the earliest.
Ricky Rubio is promising NBA fans they’ll get to see his razzle-dazzle, but not before the 2011-12 season -- and not necessarily with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Rubio’s waiting for his contract with Spanish team Barcelona to run out, which is understandable. But - get this - he still manages to act like he’s the franchise player of the team.
The 19-year-old Spaniard will stick by the Timberwolves, but expects improvements.
He is also “open to everything,” like playing for another team should a trade deal come along that Minnesota finds hard to pass up.
Here’s a piece of advice, kid. Play for the NBA team, then start making demands.
