Jeremiah Masoli Caught with Pot, Suspended License

↵↵It’s safe to say you can file this under “Some People Just Will Not Learn.” According to the Register-Guard, Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli -- already serving a suspension for the upcoming season following a burglary -- was stopped by Springfield police on Monday.↵
↵↵⇥Suspended University of Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli is again in trouble with the law after a Springfield police officer stopped his vehicle and cited him Monday night on charges of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at a driveway or a sidewalk.↵↵↵Previously, we’d praised Oregon coach Chip Kelly for taking a firm stand with both Masoli and running back LaMichael James. But now we must revisit the question Brian Cook posed: What does it take for Chip Kelly to actually boot a starter?↵
↵↵If this was an isolated incident, it’d be a blip on the radar and we’d probably move along with a few sprints and a firm slap on the wrist. But Masoli is about to find himself in the “habitual line-stepper” category. Masoli has put his coach in the unfortunate situation where he has to weigh just how much he meant this quote: “Their [referring to James and Masoli in March] accountability for their actions is paramount and any tainting of the reputation of the University of Oregon and this football program will not be tolerated.”↵
↵↵Kelly hasn’t been one to go for all out zero-tolerance, but will anyone blame him if this is the final straw?↵
