David Huff May Have Tweeted Himself Out Of A Major League Start

David Huff, a 25-year-old lefty in the Indians organization who has spent the past couple of seasons bouncing between the majors and minors, was told by the team that he would be called up to make a start in the senior circuit on Sunday, after which Huff excitedly tweeted:

↵↵Just got called up for a spot start Sunday against the Detriot Tigers at 1 pm EST. See you there!!

↵↵Since Huff announced his call-up before the Indians officially made an announcement, the Indians are now saying that his start “may or may not happen.” Yes, policy is policy, but it’s regrettable that the Indians would alter their plans as a response to a completely innocent and ultimately harmless tweet.

↵It’s more regrettable that this is all a major misunderstanding. He said that he’ll be starting against the “Detriot Tigers.” Clearly, this matter concerns David Huff and the Cleveland Indains. It’s none of your business, Indians!
