Sami Khedira In Spain To Meet With Jose Mourinho Ahead Of Possible Real Madrid Move

Amidst a sea of news on José Mourinho’s first day at with his Real Madrid players come news that los Blancos are set to sign one of the most promising central midfielders in Europe.

Sami Khedira, according to reports, was in Madrid on Thursday to discuss a move to the Santiago Bernabeu:

The incoming gaffer oversaw the returning players’ pre-season medical checks, but he also met with Sami Khedira who was in Madrid yesterday ahead of a €10m (£8.5m) move from Stuttgart. Khedira is coming off a staring role for German in the World Cup and, having helped Stuttgart to European qualification in 2009-10, may be ready for a move to a bigger club. Real Madrid look set to swap Khedira in for Lassana Diarra, who is linked with an exit from the club.

Khedira, 23 years old, is said to have a €10 million price tag. He has one more year on his contract with Stuttgart.
