There are many reasons why the Stanley Cup is the coolest trophy in sports. You can drink champagne out of it. You can take it in a pool and it will float. There is only one Stanley Cup, and it’s passed down every year, and every year, each player on the winning team gets a day with the cup. It’s called “Lord Stanley’s Cup,” after Lord Stanley of Preston, who originally purchased the cup for $48.67. And oh yeah, you can drink champagne out of it.
