Astros owner Drayton McLane told MLB.com on Wednesday morning the club is not close to making any trades, despite published reports stating that the team had been in serious negotiations with the Phillies about a possible deal for ace pitcher Roy Oswalt.
McLane goes on to add that there have been a lot of internal and external talks concerning Roy Oswalt, but the impression he gives is that the team is content to wait things out as the deadline approaches.
