We already knew that Jamie Moyer’s elbow injury wasn’t an insignificant one, but Matt Gelb found a way to paint it in a pretty negative light:
Jamie Moyer’s Elbow Injury Is Serious; Could End His Season
Moyer is seriously injured. A sprain of the ulnar collataral ligament and strain of the pronator tendon. Could be done.
If the sprain in Moyer’s ulnar collateral ligament is severe enough, he would require Tommy John surgery. At age 47, it’s not a stretch to consider Moyer declining the surgery and calling it quits.
I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m hoping with all my hope that Jamie Moyer is able to bounce back from this latest obstacle.
