2010 NFL Draft Pick Signings: Dez Bryant, Cowboys Reportedly Agree To Terms

The Cowboys are among the first teams to report to training camp so it makes sense that they're the first team to sign a first round draft pick.

The Cowboys announced they have agreed to terms with WR Dez Bryant.

The fact that Bryant is the first to sign is slightly surprising. Speculation had mounted in recent days that Bryant would be a training camp holdout. A report emerged that he would “probably” seek top ten money despite being the 24th overall pick.

In addition to that, Bryant's agent is Eugene Parker. The same agent that repped Michael Crabtree last year. Crabtree of course held out into October before signing his rookie deal.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed but ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports it’s a five-year deal worth $11.8 million with $8.5 million guaranteed.

Bryant had an impressive career at Oklahoma State catching 147 passes for 2,425 yards and 29 touchdowns. His college career ended five games into the 2009 season when it was found that he lied to NCAA investigators about his relationship with former NFL player and close friend of Parker, Deion Sanders.

The Cowboys will conduct their first training camp practice on July 24.
