Cantu wouldn’t be used as a starter for any of these teams, but rather as a bench bat or part of a platoon. Cantu has historically shown considerable power, and is capable of manning first and third base.
Earlier Monday, there was a report that the Rangers were “closing in” on Cantu, but that seems to have been mistaken.
