UFC 116 Results: Chris Leben Chokes Out Yoshihiro Akiyama

Chris Leben choked out Yoshiro Akiyama in the third round at UFC 116.

Leben battered Akiyama on the feet, but beat him with surprising jiu jitsu in the third round. Akiyama dominated the take down battle, dopping Leben repeatedly with judo techniques but unable to do much on the ground.

In the second, Leben battered Akiyama but was also nearly finished at one point by a Akiyama combination. Leben went back to his corner with his arms raised and delivered on that braggadocio in the final round.
