It was an inauspicious beginning for the Ravens' training camp on Friday. Starting cornerback Domonique Foxworth tore his ACL and will the entire 2010 season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ravens Cornerback Domonique Foxworth Tears ACL, Out For Season With Injury
Foxworth apparently suffered the injury during a non-contact walk-through on Wednesday while making a cut, per ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Foxworth's season-ending injury leaves Baltimore perilously thin at what was already a thin position; against the presumed elite of the AFC like the Colts, the Ravens can ill-afford to without one of their top covermen.
Foxworth was predictably upset afterwards, tweeting to his fans:
There's nothing worse than letting down ppl you love and I love all the ravens players and fans. I'm very sorry
