There’s a lot to absorb in the aftermath of LeBron James’ “decision” to bolt from Cleveland and join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat. At this point, it’s clichéd to note the surrealness of it all; ESPN’s assorted talking heads congratulating LeBron on “making his decision” while Jim Gray wasted time with a sequence of increasingly banal and torturous questions, drawing out the manufactured melodrama to heights of seemingly unthinkable absurdity.
