↵“I got up to about 231 (pounds) this time around, and today I performed around 226 (pounds), so this is the heaviest I’ve ever performed at, and I felt as if I was just as fast,”
↵“Randy Couture, he bumps up to heavyweight all the time, and he always looks very impressive against the slower guy,” Jones said. “And now I actually have a heavyweight that I wouldn’t mind fighting. That’s James Toney – ‘Mr. I’m going to slap Jon in the face.’ I’d bump up for that fight any day.”
Jon Jones Would Move To Heavyweight For A Shot At James Toney
↵The beating that Jones would put on Toney would be brutal. James would have no answer for his length, his kicks, his wrestling, his ground attack. It’d be one of the absolute most one sided fights in history. I do think Jones has some potential problems in his boxing game where he leaves some openings but it’s going to take someone that can get inside without immediately being taken down for it to matter at all. And James Toney is not that guy.
