The system that was expected to bring showers and possible storms Saturday night into central and eastern Tennessee appears to have slowed some and now the arrival is later. This is obviously good news for the race Saturday night.
I have backed off the rain threat for Saturday and Saturday night, but this scenario is fairly new with the models so there's some apprehension in doing this. My official forecast is for Saturday day to be partly sunny, dry with a high of 87. Saturday evening for the race is listen below.
