Dodgers Fans, Baseball Win: Vin Scully Returning For 2011

There’s joy in Dodger Town. Vin Scully will return in 2011, his 62nd year broadcasting Dodger baseball.

↵↵“I’m just honored and humbled to continue my association with the Dodgers, which has been a major part of my life,” said Scully.

↵↵Dodgers fans all over have to be ecstatic at the news. To say he is a legend in L.A. is an understatement. Scully has been synonymous with the Dodgers since the team moved to West in 1958.

↵Generations of fans, myself included, have grown up with Scully. He’s become a like a member of the family.

↵There is no way to adequately explain what Scully means to Dodgers fans. The news of him coming back next year is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale season.

↵Everyone knows Scully can’t work forever. He’s joining to retire one day. When that time comes, it will be a sad day for baseball. The good news is that day will not come for awhile.
