Urban Meyer Unused To Slow Football, Dearth Of Legal Issues

On a scale of “one” to “Nick Saban,” Urban Meyer’s about a seven when it comes to poor-mouthing his team in the name of the expectations game. Even his newer cuddlier human form, it’s unreasonable to expect sunshine. Still, this is strong language for a man fielding a team fresh off a conference championship game berth and a BCS bowl win:

↵“I’m hitting the panic button a little bit,” Meyer said. “We’ve got to get better fast than what we are right now. I don’t know if it’s that we’re good. It’s just consistency of the offensive and defensive lines. We need to get them all in there.
[...]
“Right now, it’s not Florida football yet.”
↵There are holes in this year’s Florida squad, to be sure, but they’re a top-five preseason outfit with two more weeks to warm up for the opener against Miami (the Miami that’s bad at football), so what’s his ... oh. You guys, there hasn’t been a Gator arrested in over two months! Not Florida football, indeed.
