Texans-Cowboys, In Progress: Romo, Cowboys’ First-Team Offense Sputter In First Half

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Matt Schaub threw for 183 yards and a touchdown, and Arian Foster rushed for 110 yards in Houston's 23-7 win over Dallas at Reliant Stadium.

Schaub connected on 18-of-29 throws, while Andre Johnson made seven catches for 79 yards. Jacoby Jonescaught five passes for 63 yards and a score as the Texans improved to 1-2 in preseason play.

Tony Romo went 13-for-18 for 146 yards and Roy Williams caught three balls for 39 yards for the Cowboys, who were held to 13 yards rushing in falling to 2-2 in exhibition play.

Houston started the scoring in the first quarter on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Schaub to Jones.

Neil Rackers second quarter field from 23 yards out and another three-pointer by Kris Brown from 22 yards extended the Texans' lead to 13-0 at the half.

Foster's three-yard scoring run capped of an 80-yard drive, and Rackers' second successful boot, this one from 23 yards, extended the hosts' lead to 23 in the third quarter.

Dallas finally dented the scoreboard in the fourth quarter on a 24-yard scoring pass from Jon Kitna to Kevin Ogletree.
