James Farrior Suffers Head Laceration On Broncos Opening Drive
Weeks after Eli Manning suffered a nasty facial laceration on a play in which his helmet was knocked from his head, Steelers linebacker James Farrior experienced a similar injury on the opening drive of the game.
On a 2nd and goal from the two-yard line, the Broncos ran LenDale White, who was stuffed on the play. Farrior’s helmet was knocked off colliding with a blocker. Another Broncos player hit Farrior in the temple with his helmet.
With blood gushing from his head, Farrior was immediately taken to the locker room and did not return to the game.
