VIDEO: Roger Federer Pulls Off Between-The-Legs Winner At U.S. Open ... Again

This was mentioned late Monday night in our U.S. Open Day 1 StoryStream, but it’s worth looking at again here. In his first round match against Brian Dabul last night, Roger Federer pulled off the between-the-legs winner ... the same shot he made during the 2009 U.S. Open against Novak Djokovic. Video of Monday night’s is here, with the clip of last year’s after the jump:

Of course, last year’s came during a semifinal win, while this year’s was during what was essentially a light, late-night practice session in the first round. Although there’s still two weeks left for Federer to pull out more “tweeners.”
