NFL Roster Cuts: Giants Get Down To 75 Players, Place WR Sinorice Moss, QB Jim Sorgi On IR

The Giants on Tuesday trimmed their roster to 75 players before the 4:00 p.m. (EDT) deadline by placing a few players on injured reserve ending their seasons.

Going on IR is WR Sinorice Moss, QB Jim Sorgi and LB Adrian Tracy.

Moss has been with the Giants since 2006 and recently had a groin injury that’s been slowing him. He had surgery Tuesday morning to repair the problem but his season is still over.

Sorgi, the long-time backup to AB Peyton Manning with the Colts, was signed over the offseason. His IR stint leaves the Giants with QB Rhett Bomar as the backup. They’ll take a look at veteran options.

The Giants also put OL Kevin Boothe on Reserve/PUP putting him out for at least the first six weeks of the season. They also waived rookie WR Nyan Boateng.
