Week 1 Fantasy Football Scouting Reports: Atlanta Falcons

From The Falcoholic:

The Falcons will have a tough go of things against a tough Steelers defense this week, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pin your fantasy hopes on them.
QB Matt Ryan: The Steelers secondary is very good, but Ryan has a ton of weapons. Don’t be surprised if he finds Tony Gonzalez and Roddy White several times each, which makes both of them nice grabs in leagues that reward receptions. Ryan himself should be good for 200 yards, a touchdown or two and maybe one pick, making him a low-end second option.
RB Michael Turner: I don’t care how good the Steelers are up front. We’re talking about Michael Turner!
The Burner is back, healthy and hungry, and he’s ready to make a statement. Look for him to pound the ball 20+ times and hit anywhere from 80-100 yards with a touchdown, making him a very nice second option.
WR Harry Douglas: I’ve already mentioned White and Gonzalez, but Douglas is a nice sleeper with Michael Jenkins out. He can really turn on the jets over the middle, so he could be responsible for a couple of long gains. A good gamble for a PPR league this week.
K Matt Bryant: I don’t trust his leg, but you can’t go wrong with Bryant this week. The Steelers are sure to grind at least a couple of Falcon drives to a halt, giving him a chance to nail a couple field goals. Consider him a #1 option.
Falcons Defense: With a mobile quarterback in Dennis Dixon, a powerful back in Rashard Mendenhall and some matchup issues with the Falcons secondary, the Steelers are not the team you want to start this defense against. Sit ‘em.
