Nike’s PR department is already crafting the press release. Rafael Nadal’s shoes are not harmful to his feet. His foot issues -- apparently he experienced some pain and had a few blisters -- were about the only surprising developments in the second set, which Nadal won, 6-3. After the trainer performed a vigorous pedicure on Nadal (or something like it) someone from the Rafa’s camp dropped off a new pair of kicks for him to wear. Then CBS showed close-ups of Nadal’s feet. Then Nadal proceeded to break Youzhny and the set was over a few minutes later. So much for hampered movement.
