Albert Haynesworth has been thoroughly unhappy this off season with new Redskin coach Mike Shanahan switching the defense from the 4-3 to a 3-4 set. The 4-3 formation is why Haynesworth was brought to Washington and the reason the team spent a boat load of cash to acquire him through free agency. Haynesworth has been a very large distraction this off season by not reporting to any of the voluntary or mandatory Redskin mini-camps this summer, and there was the event of Haynesworth not passing the fitness test that was required since he did not attend a certain amount of the summer workouts.
Report: Redskins Are Looking To Trade Albert Haynesworth To The Titans
All of this has boiled over and the Redskins are looking to move Haynesworth and he could be going back to his old team in the Tennessee Titans. Last week, the Redsksins wanted a second round pick, but the Titans were only willing to give up a fourth round pick.
The Redskins are now possibly willing to take less then a second round pick to just get ride of Haynesworth since it is being reported that Haynesworth does not want to learn the 3-4 defense. The Redskins may be forced to take less since Haynesworth played in only 16 of the teams 72 defensive snaps. Mike Shannahan defends the amount of plays Haynesworth was in since he rotates many lineman in his system, and also says that Haynesworth is getting more comfortable with each rep.
