Fantasy Baseball: 2010 Fantasy All-Star Team
Last week, Baseball America posted their 2010 minor league All-Star team, so I figured I would give a shot at the 2010 Fantasy All-Star team.
C-Joe Mauer-currently hitting .330-.405-.473 with 9 HRs, 74 RBIs and 85 runs scored. Have a feeling someone like Carlos Santana or Buster Posey could hit for a high average with more power in 2011.
1B-Miguel Cabrera-hitting .333-.426-.627 with 34 HRs and 118 RBIs. He leads all first basemen in extra base hits with 80.
2B-Robinson Cano-hitting .322-.382-.544 with 27 HRs, 99 RBIs and 96 runs scored.
SS-Hanley Ramirez-HanRam is hitting .301-.379-.477 with 21 HRs, 76 RBIs, 91 runs scored and 31 SBs. His power continues to decline. Troy Tulowitzki could take the top spot in 2011 if he can stay healthy.
3B-Adrian Beltre-Beltre has had the year I expected of his, as he is hitting .328-.373-.568 with 28 HRs, 97 RBIs and 79 runs scored.
OF-Jose Bautista-leading the majors with 47 HRs, 111 RBIs and 97 runs scored helps you look away from the .262 BA. His power may not be here to stay, but he has a 15 HR lead over the 2nd place guy amongst outfielders.
OF-Carlos Gonzalez-break out season for CarGo. He is hitting .341-.378-.612 with 32 HRs, 106 RBIs, 100 runs scored and 23 SBs. He has done it all this season.
OF-Josh Hamilton-Hamilton has had an impressive season this year, hitting .361-.414-.635 with 31 HRs, 97 RBIs, and 94 runs scored. The jump in BA has been a big surprise, aided by a .396 BABIP.
SP-Roy Halladay-the best pitcher in baseball. He will probably win 20 games (yeah, I predicted he wouldn't), and is currently 19-10 with a 2.49 ERA, a WHIP of 1.07, and 210-28 K/BB ratio in 234+ innings pitched.
CL-Rafael Soriano-43 saves pitching in the best division in baseball where almost every game is a pressure game at this point in the season. Has a 1.85 ERA and a 53-12 K/BB ratio.
