Derek Jeter’s Phenomenal Acting Performance Enters Third Day

On Thursday, I spent some words on Derek Jeter’s Wednesday night acting performance, in which he portrayed a baseball player who had been hit by a pitch. As it turns out, the performance still isn’t over, because Jeter is saying this on Friday:

↵↵When pressed about why he then acted like he was in pain, Jeter said, “You don’t want it to look like [the umpire]‘s completely wrong. If you get hit with a pitch, it usually hurts. My job is to continue to sell it, I guess.”

↵↵Hey everybody, he had to sell it! Jeter grabbed his arm in agony and allowed the trainer to tend to him because he didn’t want the umpire to look stupid! Jeter had to leave after this comment, as he had to go cut a promo with Chris Jericho. Also, rumors are swirling that tonight’s Yankees-Orioles game will see a reunion of the Hardy Boyz tag team, as at least one of them is probably on Baltimore’s 25-man roster anyway.
