Phil Fulmer Still Mad As A Wet Ham, Since You Asked

Ex-Tennessee skipper Phil Fulmer has been killing time since his ousting in the CBS studios as some sort of analyst, where he’s sure to get along adequately since he’s not being asked to recruit. This hasn’t been particularly entertaining to anyone, until today’s Tennessee-Florida pregame, when he lobbed a few petulant grenades in the direction of his alma mater and his replacement:

↵I don’t think they needed to make that change ... I would’ve won 7 or 8 last year ... you could’ve saved all that money.
↵Phil Fulmer, the Save-Rite Coach Of The Year! It’s not included in the above video, but he goes on to loft a few choice salvos concerning Lane Kiffin’s lack of head-coaching experience and ignorance of fine Tennessee traditions. (Which, I don’t know about that, Coach. Kiffin seemed pretty good at orchestrating embarrassing postseason losses in the Georgia Dome!)

↵So, the takeaway here is that Fulmer is the new Johnny Majors, but without a drinking problem. Got it? Got it.
