Leinart Playing Perhaps Final Game In Arizona As Cardinals Finish Preseason Vs. Redskins

If Thursday is indeed Matt Leinart’s final game with Arizona, he did very little to make fans sorry to see him go.

Leinart entered the game with 4:35 remaining in the first quarter and had his first pass fall incomplete. He then completed a 1-yard pass before being sacked on third down.

Following Thursday’s games, all 32 NFL teams will have until 6pm ET on Saturday evening to trim their rosters to the 53-player maximum.

The Redskins own a 4-2 lead in their all-time preseason series with the Cardinals, which will be resuming for the first time since Washington pulled off a 20-13 home win over the then-St. Louis Cardinals prior to the 1971 season.
