Despite reports of his always-sunny demeanor, an investigative report suggests Broncos WR Kenny McKinley did mention suicide at least once before his death from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Ultimately, it might be pointless to try to figure out why someone as outwardly jovial as McKinley decided to take his own life. But the irony is that quotes from one of McKinley’s friends — who said she didn’t provide police with the dominoes story — suggests that no one would have taken a suicide discussion from McKinley seriously because of that manner.

Fox 31 out of Denver is reporting that second year wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead; the cause of death is believed to be suicide:
The University of South Carolina product was In his second year with the Broncos and was relegated to kick return duties last season because of injuries and was placed on injury reserve last season because of a knee injury then again prior to this season.
