Week 3 Fantasy Football News: Andre Johnson, Michael Turner And Knowshon Moreno Headline Week 3 Injuries

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

The Falcons seem likely to get RB Michael Turner back this week as he's listed as probable after fully practicing Thursday & Friday. However, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution expects the Falcons to be "extra careful" with Turner's groin injury. With Jason Snelling's performance last week that earned him NFC offensive player of the week honors, they can certainly afford that.

For the Saints, RB Reggie Bush is out with a broken fibula.

Buffalo Bills At New England Patriots

LB Paul Posluszny is out again with a knee injury, which certainly won't help them against the run... but then again the Patriots RBs are beat up this week. Kevin Faulk was placed on IR this week and Fred Taylor was limited in practice with a toe injury. Taylor is listed as probable and he'll play.

Cincinnati Bengals at Carolina Panthers

CB/KR Pacman Jones is doubtful for the Bengals with a shoulder injury, if he can’t play that would certainly be a blow to their special teams production.

DE Antwan Odom has been limited all week with a wrist injury for the Bengals, who potentially be down three defensive ends this week with Odom and Frostee Rucker both questionable and DE Jonathan Fanene out. DT Tank Johnson and LB Keith Rivers are both battling foot injuries but will play.

Out of conference road games have traditionally been rough games for the visitors. With their beat up defense, this game could be much tougher for the Bengals than it looks on paper.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens

Browns RB Jerome Harrison missed practice all this week with a thigh injury. The team actually had expected him to return by Friday, but his remained tight and he couldn't go. They haven't ruled him out for Sunday, but he's questionable so look for James Davis to carry the load for them.

It also looks like Seneca Wallace is going to get another start with Jake Delhomme still down with an ankle injury.

The Ravens have a lot of little injuries, but nothing major this week. Derrick Mason, Le'Ron McClain, Ray Rice, & Todd Heap are all on the injury report, but all will play.

Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

Dallas wins this week's award for oddest injury of the week as TE Jason Witten is listed as probable with a "Head" injury. When you see a guy listed with a head injury, you have to wonder whether the team just doesn't want to call it a concussion...

WR Dez Bryant missed practice earlier in the week with a rib injury, but return to full practice and will play.

WR Andre Johnson is questionable for the Texans after being limited all week in practice with an ankle injury. Sources are saying that he will start this weekend against the Cowboys.

TE Owen Daniels is still battling a knee injury and while he will play this weekend, he's done nothing this year.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings

WR Nate Burleson is out for the Lions and could potentially miss another two weeks beyond this one.

WRs Bernard Berrian & Percy Harvin were limited in practice but are listed as probable with knee and hip injuries respectively.

Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos

The Colts' weapons are beat up this week. WR Anthony Gonzalez is out and Pierre Garcon is questionable after missing practice Thursday & Friday with a hamstring injury. Joseph Addai is also questionable with a knee injury, but ESPN's Chris Mortenson says he'll be "good to go" for Sunday.

The Broncos big injury is RB Knowshon Moreno who is out with a hamstring injury. Reports suggest that the injury could could keep Moreno out another week beyond this.

Oakland Raiders at Arizona Cardinals

G Robert Gallery is out for the Raiders as is WR Chaz Schilens. RB Michael Bush however, appears to ready to go after being questionable the first two weeks of the year. Problem is, Darren McFadden has probably taken his job in the meantime.

According to NBC sports, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said Friday that Beanie Wells' knee looked "really good" in Friday's practice. He got the biggest workload this week in practice that he has all year and while he is still questionable he appears set to play and make an impact.

The Cardinals will probably need their running game because their WR corps is beat up. Early Doucet is out and Steve Breaston is questionable with a knee.

Philadelphia Eagles at Jacksonville Jaguars

Nothing really major to report from an injury perspective here. I think I may have seen a little news item about the Eagles QB situation this week, but I’m not sure...

Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

QB Dennis Dixon is out with a knee injury and the question all week in Pittsburgh has been who is going to start in his place? The winner is Charlie Batch.

Kellen Winslow is still battling a knee injury, but he was battling it last week and still had 4 catches for 80+ yards.

San Diego Chargers at Seattle Seahawks

Rookie RB Ryan Matthews is doubtful with an ankle injury that’s held him out of practice all week. Matthews claimed this week that it wasn’t a dreaded “high ankle sprain” that so often keeps guys out for weeks.

San Francisco 49ers at Kansas City Chiefs

WR/KR Ted Ginn Jr is still trying to get over a knee injury for the 49ers. It doesn’t appear that he’ll be able to go.

Tennessee Titans at New York Giants

The Giants will be without T Will Beatty (foot), LB Phillip Dillard (hamstring) & S Michael Johnson (back) this week. DE Justin Tuck is questionable with a shoulder injury.

Big Blue View did a fantasy football preview for this game.

Washington Redskins at St Louis Rams

The Redskins are actually a bit beat up this week with four notable starters listed as questionable. DT Albert Haynesworth (ankle), S LaRon Landry (wrist), RB Clinton Portis (wrist) & T Trent Williams (knee, toe).

All seem likely to play this weekend, which prompted PFT to question whether the Redskins have been overusing the “questionable” designation.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins

The big one here is CB Darrelle Revis, who is out with a hamstring injury. Had he been playing, you expect he would be shadowing Brandon Marshall who may be in for a big game. The Jets will also be without LB Calvin Pace again this week.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

LB Lance Briggs missed practice earlier in the week and was limited later. However, these guys have an extra day to heal since this game is on Monday Night.
