The Philadelphia Eagles (1-1-0) head down to Jacksonville (1-1-0) to face the Jaguars in what will be Michael Vick's second start of the season. Vick was named the Eagles starter earlier in the week during a conference call by head coach Andy Reid. After a concussion suffered by former starter Kevin Kolb, Vick led a rally that pulled the Eagles within seven points of the Green Bay Packers and then starter the next game, versus the Detroit Lions, and put up some of the best numbers of his career.
NFL Week 3, Eagles Vs. Jaguars: Vick Starts Again As The ‘Birds Head To Florida
LeSean McCoy looks to continue his strong sophomore season after an excellent showing versus the Lions. For the Jaguars, Maurice Jones-Drew hopes to take apart an Eagles rush defense that allowed the Lion's Javid Best to run rampant last week.
The game will most likely come down to Vick versus David Gerrard in who makes the least mistakes. If Vick continues his form (three touchdowns, no interceptions) then the Eagles have an excellent chance to win the game. Gerrard has been decent in his slight return to 2008 form, recovering from a dismal 2009 season.
