Seahawks Sign Wide Receiver Brandon Stokley

The Seattle Seahawks have signed veteran WR Brandon Stokley after he was granted a release from the Denver Broncos where he has spent the last three seasons. Stokley was placed on injured reserve on September 4th when he hurt his groin.

Stokley spent the last three seasons with the Broncos but made only 19 catches last season, for 327 yards and four touchdowns.

The Louisiana-Lafayette product will be reunited with Seahawks offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates, who served in the same capacity in Denver in 2008 when Stokley caught 49 passes.

Stokley began his career in Baltimore in 1999 and then played for the Colts in 2003. He had his best season the following year, bringing in 68 catches for 1,077 yards and 10 touchdowns. Serving as a slot receiver for the Broncos, Stokley had 108 catches for 1,490 yards and 12 touchdowns in three seasons.
