Sanchez Goes Seven Strong, Propels Giants Past Dodgers 3-0
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Juan Uribe hit a key two-run homer for the second straight game and Jonathan Sanchez pitched seven strong innings, as the Giants took a 3-0 win over the Dodgers in the rubber match of a three-game series.
On Saturday, Uribe hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning as the Giants claimed a 5-4 comeback win. He repeated the feat in the seventh inning Sunday to help San Francisco get another victory and gain more ground on San Diego.

“That’s up there with comeback wins,” said Giants manager Bruce Bochy. “Juan got a pitch he could handle. It’s hard to get a bigger one than that. The longball won it for us tonight.”
“Hopefully when the team ahead of you struggles, you go on a springboard and get it going,” Bochy added. “But we’ve been playing good teams, too.”
