NBA Free Agency: Grant Hill Signs One-Year Contract To Remain With Phoenix Suns, According To Report
Grant Hill has elected to sign a one-year, $6.5 million deal to remain with the Phoenix Suns, according to a report.
Hill had arguably his best season last year since the many ankle injuries stunted his rise as one of the league’s superstars. He averaged 13.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 48 percent from the field and guarding multiple positions for a Suns team that lacked size. The 39-year old has been healthy with the Suns’ doctors monitoring him and evidently believed it was important to stay with them.
The Knicks were in pursuit, but in the end, it appears they were used as leverage for Hill to get a better deal from the Suns.
