POLL: Is Gus Johnson More Likely To Lose It During BYU-Florida Or Wisconsin-Butler?

Gus Johnson is awesome. We all agree, right? Actually, I know a guy who tweeted that half of his twitter feed actively dislikes Gus. So apparently, soulless demons do walk amongst us. But I assume that if you’re reading this, you are not a soulless demon and that you like Gus, along with candy and unicorns. Tonight, Johnson is calling two Sweet 16 games: BYU vs. Florida and Butler vs. Wisconsin, both of which can be seen on TBS. There is serious potential for Gus to go crazy in both. To quote the man himself, “THIS IS MARCH MADNESS!” But, which game is more likely to cause Gus to lose his marbles?

On one hand, BYU-Florida has The Jimmer. The Jimmer is The Jimmer. There's always potential for him to bring the thunder. Obviously, if Jimmer Fredette scores a buzzer beater against Florida, Gus is going to go more bonkers than we've ever seen him go. This game also has less potential to be a close game than the late matchup. Sorry, Cougars fans, but you know as well as I do that BYU is in serious trouble if Jimmer doesn't shoot at least 50 percent.

Wisconsin-Butler has a much lower ceiling for awesome than any game involving The Jimmer, but it also has much more potential to be close until the end. Neither team is fast or heavy on early shots. This game will have a small number of possessions, and for that reason alone, a blowout is unlikely. The ceiling is lower than the early game, but the buzzer beater potential is much higher.

Have your say: Which game is more likely to cause Gus to Gusgasm?
