2011 NFL Draft Results: Adrian Clayborn To Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With the 20th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn. The young, rising Bucs got a good one in him, too.
Clayborn’s major concern is an injury history and a nerve condition that prevents him from fully extending his right arm. That hasn’t waylaid his football career so far: Clayborn made up for any minor deficiencies with quickness and persistence, starting 30 straight games for Iowa and producing plenty of tackles for loss and sacks.
He also fits well with the young Bucs: putting Gerald McCoy in the middle of a line with Clayborn on the end could give Tampa Bay a fierce defensive line.
