2011 NFL Draft Results: Jonathan Baldwin Goes To Kansas City Chiefs
The Baltimore Ravens had the 26th pick in the 2011 NFL draft but passed. Yes, they passed, which is indeed allowed. So the Kansas City Chiefs, who were drafting 27th via a trade with the Cleveland Browns, took the 26th pick and selected Pittsburgh WR Jonathan Baldwin.
Baldwin has incredible skills and at times a freak athletic ability. Physically, he’s the total package. There are questions, though, of his work ethic and how good he wants to be. That’s why this is a confusing pick for the Chiefs, who highly value character and work ethic.
Baldwin will step in alongside WR Dwayne Bowe, who had a breakout season in 2010. Bowe is also entering the final year of his contract so this gives the Chiefs some flexibility should he walk.
