As a blogger myself I may have to say the best pick in the 2011 NFL draft belongs to the Cincinnati Bengals. No, not QB Andy Dalton in the second round. It's LB Dontay Moch.
NFL Draft Grades: Bengals Pick A Blogger, Get High Marks
Yes, Dontay Moch. Why, you ask?
Because he’s a blogger just like us. Moch has been blogging at SB Nation Arizona for a while now and it’s fascinating to go back and see his thoughts on the draft process. Check out Moch’s blog posts here.
I’m not the only one that likes him -- 74 percent of Cincy Jungle readers like the pick, too.
On the football field, I can't knock the Dalton pick, either. The Bengals knew they had a shaky situation with QB Carson Palmer potentially retiring if he's not traded. They had to get someone for the future, and someone who was clean on and off the field. That's Dalton (even if he does have red hair).
So the Bengals have walked away from day two with a new receiver and a new quarterback. With Palmer potentially leaving, as well as WR Chad Ochocinco, they found some solid replacements.
