The 2011 NFL draft rolls on into the sixth round. Here’s a round up of picks 166-170:
2011 NFL Draft Results: Bengals Add Another Receiver Not Named A.J. Green
166. Carolina Panthers select OLB Lawrence Wilson. Out of Connecticut, Wilson is a two-time first team All-Big East selection. In 2010, he had 123 tackles which lead the Big East.
167. Cincinnati Bengals select WR Ryan Whalen. Out of Stanford. Whalen is a 2010 All-Pac-10 honorable mention receiver. He ended the 2010 season with 41 receptions for 439 yards.
168. Minnesota Vikings select OT DeMarcus Love. The Vikings get an offensive tackle out of a major program (Arkansas) who was an all-conference selection in college football's best conference (SEC). He could be a guard at the next level. Solid pick here.
169. Buffalo Bills select LB Chris White. I'm liking all these SEC players late in the draft. White went to Mississippi State and represents another attempt by the Bills to upgrade their defense.
170. Minnesota Vikings select S Mistral Raymond. Out of S. Florida, Raymond is a second team All-Big East selection. He had 56 tackles and 4.5 for loss last season.
