Almost no matter where you look, LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne is considered a Top 5 pick. The 6-foot, 177-pounder has yet to declare for the 2012 NFL Draft, but it would be a massive upset if he decided to come back to school considering how unlikely it is that his stock can rise any higher.

Claiborne has six interceptions as LSU gets ready to face Alabama in the BCS National Title Game on Jan. 9. A big game there would just about seal the deal.

Over at Mocking The Draft, they have him listed as the No. 5 overall prospect. After breaking out with a five-interception season as a sophomore, he showed a more refined game as a junior to the point where his technique is considered one of his strongest attributes.

Claiborne has always been an incredibly fluid player with rare agility to move around and change direction. What has helped Claiborne’s game this season – and propelled him up draft boards – is his technique. Claiborne is playing smarter and more controlled, which makes him arguably the best cornerback in the nation.

Any number of teams could use a big, skilled cornerback and SB Nation's latest Mock Draft has him going at No. 3 to the Minnesota Vikings. If he drops below them, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 5 would seem a decent spot for him to go.
