Jets Free Agents 2012: Plaxico Burress Among New York’s Class Of Free Agents

2011 was a disappointing season for the New York Jets in many respects, one that saw them falling well short of their customary preseason boasts and missing out on the playoffs altogether. They'll have plenty of time to think things through during the spring and summer and plan how they're going to adjust the team in the fall. One of the first things they'll have to take a look at is their class of free agents. Free agency begins on March 13 and the Jets have 15 players who could be hitting the open market.

Among their impending free agents are wide receiver Plaxico Burress and safety Brodney Pool. The Jets have already addressed one of their free agent issues. Wide receiver Patrick Turner, who would have been eligible to become a restricted free agent, signed a one-year contract that will bring him back in 2012 for $875,000.
