The Washington Wizards nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, blowing a six-point lead with just 13 seconds to go on Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings. Dazed after the Kings tied the game with just three seconds left, the Wizards recovered to walk away with a 136-133 overtime win, thanks in large part to the efforts of Nick Young.

In a high-scoring game, Young took over, scoring a career-high 43 points, 40 of which came during regulation. Even with his herculean effort, the Wizards still played on the edge, watching Sacramento come back time after time.
With 13 seconds left, a wild sequence sent a game that looked like a sure win for the Wizards in overtime. Jermaine Taylor grabbed an offensive rebound and dunked it, Rashard Lewis turned the ball over and Francisco Garcia made a layup, drawing a foul and making ensuing the free throw. Another layup, this time by Eugene Jeter, tied the game with three seconds left.
The Wizards pulled away in overtime, salvaging what could have been an embarrassing loss. All five starters were in double figures for the Wizards. Three starters -- JaVale McGee, Andray Blatche and Rashard Lewis -- picked up double-doubles in the win. Kirk Hinrich scored six points in overtime, sealing the win for the Wizards.
Garcia and Beno Udrih led the way for the Kings, each scoring 26 points. DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi grabbed eight rebounds a piece to lead the team. Jeter also added a team-high 11 assists off the bench.
The Wizards improved to 10-26 on the season, with all 10 wins coming at home. Sacramento fell to 8-27 with the loss.
