The collective football world is falling in love with Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley. This time of year, for good or bad, one of the most important people in that world is ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper.
Mel Kiper puts Nick Fairley No. 1 on new big board
In his latest big board adjustment, Kiper places Fairley at the top, bumping out Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers.
Fairley is rated as my fourth best player in this year's draft. Kiper has my top player – wide receiver A.J. Green – third overall. Unless Green shatters his leg or something similarly odd, don't expect him to drop from the top spot. He was there even before Andrew Luck announced he was returning to Stanford.
This is In$ider content, so we can't go into it too deep here. It's worth noting that Kiper's biggest mover is Wisconsin defensive end J.J. Watt. He went from being unranked in Kiper's top 25 to No. 15.
Kiper also moved Alabama running back Mark Ingram from 23 to 17. Find his big board here if you're an Insider.
