Human highlight reel Blake Griffin had a double-double by halftime, but his Los Angeles Clippers trail the Portland Trail Blazers in the third quarter, 71-65. Eric Gordon, subject of Mike Prada's excellent feature on Thursday, is leading the way for the Clippers with 21 points, four rebounds and four assists midway through the third. Griffin has 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Blazers Vs. Clippers: Blake Griffin Already Has Double-Double; Portland Leads, 71-65
The Blazers used a strong second quarter to take a five-point lead into halftime, leading the Clippers 55-50. In the third quarter, it’s been more of the same, with Portland holding the Clippers at bay, though unable to widen the lead.
It's been all LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews for the Blazers, with Aldridge pouring in 20 points and Matthews adding 19. Rudy Fernandez has10 points off the bench and Aldridge has a team-high seven rebounds.
